This can involve projecting negative traits or emotions onto others in order to avoid dealing with them in oneself. For example, someone who is feeling jealous may project their jealousy onto a friend, accusing the friend of being jealous instead. Projection can be a way for individuals to protect their self-image and avoid facing uncomfortable aspects of themselves. **

To convert a Fischer projection to a Haworth projection, start by rotating the Fischer projection 90 degrees clockwise. Then, draw a five- or six-membered ring with the top carbon on the Fischer projection becoming the anomeric carbon in the Haworth projection. Next, position the substituents on the Fischer projection around the ring in the Haworth projection, making sure to maintain the correct stereochemistry. Finally, adjust the orientation of any remaining substituents to match the Haworth projection's conventions. **
